Summer Camp FAQ
How does the choice-based camp model work?
Each week offers two camp options. Campers may choose what they join each day and can switch between options throughout the week based on interest, energy, and comfort level.
Exception: Week 1’s Drone Flying Adventures and Theater Production requires a full-day, full-week commitment due to equipment use and skill progression.
Do campers have to choose both options each day?
No. Campers may participate in one option or both, and Guides support campers in making choices that feel right for them.
What ages is summer camp for?
Our camps are designed for a broad range of elementary and middle school-aged learners. Activities are adapted to support different ages, learning styles, and developmental needs.
Is Innovation Summer Camp neuro-affirming?
Yes. Innovation Summer Camp is choice-based and neuro-affirming, meaning we honor different learning styles, sensory needs, energy levels, and social approaches. Campers are supported, not forced, to participate in ways that work for them.
Is this a drop-off camp?
Yes. Campers must be able to participate independently in a group setting for the full camp day and be fully potty trained.
What is the daily structure like?
Our days include a mix of hands-on projects, creative exploration, movement, and connection time, with built-in flexibility to support regulation and engagement.

What should my child bring each day?
Campers should bring a nut-free lunch and snacks, and a water bottle, along with clothes that can handle creativity, movement, and mess. Any SEL support animals, blanket, fidgets are welcome at camp and a change of clothes is also a great addition!
Are screens used during camp?
Screens are used intentionally and purposefully when relevant to a specific activity (such as stop motion or drone learning). We prioritize hands-on, collaborative, and experiential learning throughout the day. Screens provided by Innovation do not have restrictions, but Guides keep a close eye on what campers are engaged in.
Can my child attend only one week or specific weeks?
Yes! Families may enroll week-by-week or choose the full summer option.
How does pricing work for Week 5?
Week 5 is a 3-day week and is priced at $161 when purchased individually or $150 when included in the full summer enrollment.
